About Dawn

Dawn Gadon

Wife. Mother. Nurse Practitioner. Student of Prayer. Builder of Strength.

Daven & Dwell was not born from theory.
It was born from lived experience.

I grew up in a middle-class New Jersey home with two working parents and strong teachers who expected excellence. I became a nurse while still in high school, earned my degree through scholarship support, and eventually completed my Master’s at the University of Pennsylvania as a Family Nurse Practitioner.

For over two decades, I have cared for patients in family medicine, oncology, and addiction medicine. I currently run a private practice in New Jersey focused on personalized, evidence-based care.

But this platform is not about medicine.

It is about the deeper work.

Why Daven & Dwell Exists

Prayer has been present in every chapter of my life:

  • In young ambition

  • In grief

  • In rebuilding

  • In motherhood

  • In professional responsibility

  • In spiritual questioning

My first husband died of colon cancer at 40. I became a widowed mother of two young daughters. Faith was no longer abstract. It was oxygen.

Years later, I remarried. Life expanded again. Growth continued.

Through each season, prayer evolved from recitation to relationship.

Daven & Dwell exists because I believe many women crave:

  • Structure without rigidity

  • Depth without overwhelm

  • Tradition without performance

  • Faith that strengthens rather than shames

My Approach

I am not a rabbi.
I am not a scholar of Jewish law.

I am a disciplined student of prayer and Jewish life.

My approach blends:

  • Traditional Jewish wisdom

  • Personal responsibility

  • Emotional maturity

  • Practical structure

  • A calm, growth-oriented mindset

I believe:

  • Prayer is a skill that can be strengthened.

  • Spiritual growth requires intentionality.

  • Strength and softness are not opposites.

  • Faith should support real life — not escape it.

Daven & Dwell Is For Women Who:

  • Take responsibility for their growth

  • Want a thoughtful relationship with prayer

  • Balance family, career, and spiritual life

  • Prefer clarity over chaos

  • Value tradition and depth

This space is for the woman who wants to feel aligned — not just inspired.

The Mission

To help modern Jewish women develop:

  • A grounded prayer life

  • Emotional resilience

  • Spiritual discipline

  • Intentional daily living

Daven — connect upward.
Dwell — live aligned.

Both matter.
